Power of the VOID Part 1 and 2

Part 1:

The International School of Kuala Lumpur provides an exceptional education that challenges each student to develop the (silence) attitudes, skills, knowledge and understanding to become a highly successful, spirited, socially responsible global citizen.

I feel that adding a silence after the word “the” creates the best tension. I put "silence" there because it will leave the audience in thought and they are waiting for the rest of the piece. It also makes the audience ask questions, for example: What happened? When will it continue? What does each student need to develop? e.t.c I threw a question at the audience, and the audience are confused and are waiting for an answer.

Part 2:

One way composers can create tension and release in their music is that they could have a long crescendo, getting louder and louder. Then suddenly, silence happens for awhile, and continues with an extremely loud chorus. Or they could have a loud crescendo, pause, then go straight down to piano volume. Both of these examples give a question to the audience, leaves them in confusion and wonder, and suddenly shoots an answer at them and they are no longer asking questions.
